The Weekend Is Almost Over – So What, It was a Nice One…

Sunday night – Dinner is in the oven, chicken and potatoes, roasting in a white wine broth.  Asparagus prepped for roasting soon- I will pop them into the oven in twenty minutes. In the crock-pot is split pea soup for tomorrow night.

So let me begin – Thankful one – I am glad that my car has brakes and I was able to stop while driving home during another snowstorm on Friday night – can you believe that we got five more inches, on the first day of Spring!

Despite the pain in my thumb, and the Planters wart on the sole of my right foot, I am not falling apart. You know how I know, I finally got up the nerve and had a physical, everything is fine- I have some high cholesterol to deal with – but so does everyone in my family. I was told that they want to test it again in three months; in the meantime, I need to exercise and change my diet. They want to try this before they prescribe any medication.

Thankful two the blood-work was fine. Whew!

My thumb hurts on the bottom knuckle, the pain extends to the bottom of the palm, and the darn thumb at times clicks, which came out no way.

Thankful three, Nick bought me a brace for the thumb and some Epsom salt for me to soak it. If it continues, I will seek out a doctor, I just need to find an orthopedic doctor that is in my plan.
Have you noticed how on Monday,  Friday seems so far away but on Friday Monday is not…

Thankful four – the weekend; hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Thankful five Amelia and I had a girls night out, went to go see Cinderella and dinner at Baha Grill. (Nick met us there for dinner)

Our girls’ night out!

Thankful  six and seven-  Amelia is doing a dance intramural at the high school  this week – The dance and kick line perform their finals – in order to get a grade the high school girls go to the elementary schools, they are assigned a grade and have to choreograph a dance.   She is having fun with this and I love watching her each year.

Thankful eight – on Friday night she told me that her team will be wearing a tie-dye shirt with leggings and that we should make one – we found one in Target. Monday is dress rehearsal.

Thankful nine – laundry is almost done.

Thankful 10 – Sunday night dinner was delicious; my ten thankfuls are completed,  now I will make myself a tea and relax.
What are your thankfuls for the week?

    Frist? I'm NEVER frist!
Dinner in the oven sounds delightful! I love roasted veggies.
Glad you're not falling apart, although a plantar wart on the bottom of your foot hurts like heck! I've got a small one right now.
Girls night out is wonderful! We had a girls week out this past week.
Take care of your thumb. I have pain in my left thumb, right at the joint with the hand. Sometimes it kind of pops and hurts worse than ever. I tried a splint and I think it helped a little. I only use it when I have a real flare up, since it's awkward.

    Yes you are- LOL
    Dinner was very good –
The Plantar's Wart isn't hurting too much – I am susceptible to getting these in the winter months especially if I am wearing the same shoe everyday – this winter were UGGS too cold for anything else. I started using Dr. Scholl's Plantar's Wart Medicine – I did once before and it worked.
OMG when the thumb pops it feels freaky the brace that I have is really awkward I think the soaking helps more – I also think I need to get off the phone games for a while. LOL! Hope your thumb and foot feels better too!

plus… you two have the most beautiful smiles. good grief! you could be on TV!
it is almost 83 degrees here and it's only march. makes me wonder what summer will be? the 100's?
STILL… i'm thankful we don't have the snow you have.
that is just WEIRD. and the picture you chose is adorable. LOLOL.
i'm thankful for finally a good night's sleep. they're doing construction nearby and they work all night with their machines. 3 hours is not enough sleep! but last night i got 6.
happy hump day marisa! xoxo♥ and ps… you can DO IT! with the diet. better than statin drugs.
i can't wait to get off all that horse poopy. 😀

isn't that something I swear both Amelia and James were misplaced, we needed to find them, and we did.
Thank you my dear you are too kind….oh I wish it was 83 degrees but soon enough – I have been sleeping way too much lately I am very tired not sure why. Good to hear you had a good night's sleep.
I am a firm believer that we have the ability to heal ourselves – we just have not figured that out yet.
    have a great weekend,
