Yesterday we did absolutely nothing!
The Sweetness of doing nothing!
Ahhhh! Just what we needed, even my kids needed a day of nothingness. I was up at dawn, futzing around the computer; trying to figure how to add a post on BlogHer. Apparently, I was doing it wrong and I apologize. I didn’t understand the instructions a week ago; therefore, while everyone was still sleeping and the house was quiet I figured how to post on BlogHer. Now that I know, I will post correctly. I think I figured how it’s done.
The kids slept in; even the dog did not want to move. When the kids woke up, they had breakfast, I had another cup of coffee, beds were fixed, children dressed, we straightened up a bit and then we decided…to do some more nothing. It was that type day….no laundry, no cooking, no shopping. We all needed a day of rest and laziness. Both James and Amelia hit the basement, James playing with his friends on his game and Amelia keeping herself busy playing with her dolls, coloring, drawing, and playing a game on a handheld gadget. I was on the computer …trying to write, but at times became distracted with Candy Crush, Facebook, Pinterest and maybe some window shopping. We surfaced when someone broke the silence with “I’m hungry” and whatever was in the fridge we ate; leftover quesadillas.
Even Teddy was a mush…have you ever seen this; Teddy is resting his head on the bars on the chair…he finds this to be comfortable.
I was so okay with this, it was needed to take a break from constant go, go, go! You know how I knew, we were all so calm…no one argued, no one was stressed and I wasn’t nagging anyone about anything. The day was enjoyable and we were pleased. When hubby came home from work, I looked at him and said we’re hungry, can we get Chinese….Ate Chinese for dinner and I tried to watch The Following with Kevin Bacon, it’s on Netflix … quite intense.
